Review Jack County 72-Hour Releases

A Jack County 72 hour release list would show who left the county jail during a rolling three-day span. No such public feed is available. The Sheriff’s web roster focuses on current custody and recent bookings, not weekend or holiday releases. To check who was released in the last 72 hours, search the period as a set of dates and request the Sheriff’s existing booking-out records. Court and state records then help explain whether county custody ended through bond, sentence completion, transfer, or another legal event.

Jack County Three-Day Feed

Jack County does not publish a rolling 72-hour release view. The Sheriff inmate page links a “Jail Population Report,” while Kologik labels another view “RECENT BOOKINGS.” Both terms concern present confinement or intake. Neither identifies every person whose county custody ended over a weekend, holiday, or three-day period.

The vendor’s history-mode response is N for Jack County. Past-five-day and past-ten-day modes available in some Kologik installations are disabled here. Thus, there is no official cadence, three-day field set, or public feed-retention period to describe.

No public release archive: use the roster to test current custody, then request the Sheriff’s release or movement entries for the full date range.

Search Jack County Release Dates

A 72-hour inquiry should define a start and end date. This avoids the ambiguity of “the last three days” when the request crosses midnight. First check the current Jack County roster. Record the time. A name still shown supports custody at that moment, subject to the roster’s update cycle. A missing name proves nothing by itself.

  1. Write the exact beginning and ending dates for the three-day span.
  2. Search the live roster and save the time and spelling used.
  3. Call the jail at 940-567-2221 for a current-custody check.
  4. Submit a written request through the Sheriff Open Records page for releases and custody movements in that span.
  5. Use the matching court or TDCJ record to interpret each event.

The Jack County 24-Hour Release List provides the tighter same-day method. For one named person rather than a date-range list, use the Jack County released inmate search path.

Jack County 72-Hour Fields

Since the county offers no web feed, the following are request fields, not promises about a public display. Request records already held by the Sheriff. A release or movement entry should be tied to a booking identifier so two people with similar names are not confused.

Field Reason to request it
Name and booking number Identifies the relevant county booking.
Booking date and time Separates the intake from the later release event.
Release date and time Places the custody change inside the requested span.
Release type or authority May state bond, time served, order, or another basis.
Receiving agency or destination Shows when departure was a transfer, not community release.

The Sheriff data structure contains a release-date field, even though public history is off. Ask for that existing field and related booking-out material. If a requested detail is not kept, the agency need not create an explanation. A focused request is more useful than asking for everyone who “got out.”

Weekend Jack County Release Checks

A three-day span is useful around weekends because court action, bond processing, and jail administration may occur on different schedules. Research does not establish a standard release hour for the Jack County Law Enforcement Center. Do not promise a Friday list, Monday refresh, or holiday posting. None is documented.

Administrative work can separate legal authority from physical departure. Staff may verify identity, check other-agency holds, complete records, and return property. A court order may therefore precede the Sheriff’s booking-out time. A transfer may also end county custody without ending confinement. Request both the jail timestamp and the court paper that authorized or explains the result.

TDCJ release hours do not apply to the county jail. State releases generally occur on weekdays within the hours stated by TDCJ, but John R. Lindsey Unit belongs to the state system. A Lindsey release must be confirmed with TDCJ, even though the unit and county Law Enforcement Center are both on FM 3344.

Jack County Records Request Route

Jack County Sheriff requests must be written. The agency accepts an online submission or upload, mail, in-person delivery, and fax. Its page lists 1432 FM 3344, Jacksboro, Texas 76458; fax 940-567-2671; and 940-567-2161 for open-records questions. The office states that it responds within ten business days. That statement should not be read as a guarantee that all records will be produced by that day.

Texas Government Code Chapter 552 controls public-information requests. The Attorney General’s response guidance distinguishes prompt production from deadlines for an agency to take specified actions. Redactions, clarification, cost estimates, and legal review can affect timing. Include the full name, date range, approximate booking date, and booking number if known.

The Texas State Library’s Local Schedule PS supplies minimum retention rules for jail registers, booking-in and booking-out records, and release or transfer documentation. The published retention schedule is illustrated in the manifest capture. Jack County Custody Verification

Use the source that held the person. The Jack County roster covers current county custody. The Sheriff’s written record covers the county booking-out event. A felony or misdemeanor court file can supply the judgment, dismissal, bond order, sentence, or commitment. Those records explain legal disposition, while the jail entry documents the physical custody change.

Result Meaning Next source
Name on live roster Supports current county custody when viewed Jail line
Name absent Unknown without more evidence Sheriff release record
TDCJ match Current state imprisonment TDCJ detail and records
IVSS status change Agency-reported notification event Originating jail or TDCJ
Court disposition Legal case outcome Pair with jail timestamp

Texas IVSS-Counties replaced the old county VINE system in 2025. It can support a specific-person status check or notification where data is supplied. TDCJ IVSS separately covers state custody and parole or mandatory supervision. Neither is an official three-day release ledger.

Jack County Roster Retention Quirk

The key local quirk is not a short retention window. It is the absence of a release-history mode. Kologik can expose historical choices elsewhere, but Jack County’s flag is off. The web interface cannot be used to reconstruct a complete Friday-through-Sunday release list.

Capture only what the current roster actually states. Photos, charges, bonds, and booking facts concern the visible booking. If the entry later disappears, preserve no unsupported conclusion. Ask the Sheriff for the release date, release type, and destination or receiving agency when recorded.

Note: A 72-hour date-range request is broader than a same-day check, but both depend on the same official Sheriff record.

Interpret Jack County Release Results

A three-day response may contain more than community releases. Jack County’s release terminology can cover bond, personal-recognizance release, dismissal, time served, sentence completion, probation disposition, transfer to another jail, commitment to TDCJ, or another custody movement. Ask for the recorded authority and destination. Without those fields, a release timestamp establishes that one county booking ended but may not show where the person went.

Court jurisdiction helps complete the record. The 271st District Clerk is the local custodian for felony cases. County-level Class A and B misdemeanor records generally belong with the County Clerk, while a Class C case or magistrate action may route through the Justice of the Peace. Ask for the judgment, dismissal, bond order, sentence, commitment, or docket entries tied to the booking. The court paper can explain the legal authority, but the Sheriff record remains the better source for the physical booking-out time.

If the response identifies a TDCJ commitment, search the state system with the exact name, TDCJ number, or SID number when available. TDCJ’s public inmate search includes current state prisoners, is updated on working days, and says its data is at least 24 hours old. It is not a past-release archive. For older state history, TDCJ also accepts an e-mail information request using the person’s full name and identifying details. This path is separate from a Jack County bond release.
